Service Boot Honey Tanned Horsehide
On a recent trip to Italy we visited the showroom of one of our favourite leather tanneries. Amidst their typical offerings was a new product they were excited to show us which involved organic honey in the tanning process. Honey acts as a natural conditioner and in this case is used in place of some of the more traditional fats and oils typically found in leather. The resulting Horsehide is heavy, but supple with a distinct golden-brown tone and visible character. For this version of our Service Boot we opted to include a leather Heel Pull, Unstructured Toe and, for the first time ever, nine #3 Vintage Brass Eyelets.
