Craftsmanship

Located in Victoria, BC, Canada - the Viberg workshop houses some of Canada's best shoemakers and craftspeople.
For all of our footwear, we only use the most trusted construction methods to ensure our products last for life.

Goodyear Welt

During the late 1960s, we began to innovate beyond nailed-down construction, by introducing Channeled Insole Goodyear Welt Construction to our line of industry-focused footwear. We believe this to be the purest form of traditional Goodyear Welted shoemaking techniques, as it shares very similar properties to hand-welted footwear. The first welted products we produced were a Western Boot and Hiker Boot. Over the course of a decade, we slowly sourced the same machinery that had been used in our workshop 60 years ago, to allow us to produce Goodyear Welted footwear with heavy-channeled insoles.

Stitchdown

We have been producing Stitchdown construction products for over 50 years - with it originally implemented in the 1970s. Recognizable by its signature double row of stitching, Stitchdown construction is synonymous with boot makers in the Pacific Northwest, due to its durability and ability to withstand the elements by wicking away water and dirt. With proper care and maintenance, as well as resoling and recrafting - our Stitchdown products can last a lifetime.
